Apparently, there's trouble in paradise as Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner has announced his wedding to playmate Crystal Harris is off, just a few days before the event was scheduled. The news stuck everyone like lightning as no one would have expected such a sudden turn. Hugh Hefner, 85 and Crystal, 25, have announced their engagement in December 2010 and their wedding was scheduled for June 18, 2011. The event was supposed to take place in California, at the Playboy Mansion, but apparently there will be no wedding bells and white doves that day as according to Hef, Crystal had a change of heart.

The announcement was made by Hugh Hefner via his Twitter account and everyone was shocked. The reason behind the decision is still unknown, but apparently the split was peaceful and without any scandals. This would have been Hugh Hefner's 3rd marriage.

The announcement posted by Hugh was brief and clear. According to the statement, Crystal was the one who decided to terminate the relationship and not go through with the wedding. Hugh Hefner wrote to his fans:
“The wedding is off. Crystal has had a change of heart.”

Rumors say Crystal decided that she wanted to pursue a different path, so she wanted to concentrate more on her music career. She decided to back out of the engagement the same week her single “Club Queen” was set to come out, so could this be a PR stunt or did things just come out this way?
Just like a true gentleman, Hugh announced after his statement that Crystal's single is now available on iTunes and that he hopes it becomes a hit.

Because people were waiting for a statement from Crystal, an explanation for her shocking decision, Crystal decided to write on her official website a message which stated:
“After much deep reflection and thought I have decided to end my engagement with Hef. I have the utmost respect for Hef and wish him the best going forward. I hope the media will give each of us the privacy we deserve during this time.”
