Long passed her 'Slumdog Millionaire' years, bombshell Freida Pinto is shedding her good girl image and channels her inner sexiness in an incendiary photo spread for Esquire UK, the magazine's April 2012 issue. The Indian beauty sat down for a chat with the magazine's editors and talked about her nude scene in her upcoming movie 'Trishna', her beau Dev Patel and more, so check out excerpts of the interview next!
'Slumdog Millionaire' hottie Freida Pinto is on the cover of
Esquire UK, where she goes sexy stripping down to her underwear.
The incendiary spread shot by acclaimed photographer Yu Tsai shows
a different side of the Indian star, a much sexier side than what
the 'good girl' has got us used to. Apparently, the 27 year old
actress and model also appears in a naked scene in the upcoming
movie “Trishna”, a rework of "Tess of the Durbevilles”, a Thomas
Hardy novel.
Although this is not a trademark style of the Indian actress, the
diva looks very comfortable in front of the camera lens, as she
poses seductively donning various skimpy lingeries for British
Esquire. In an exclusive interview she gave Esquire, Ms. Pinto
talks about her nude sex scene in the movie 'Trishna', whether the
movie will be released in India or not, and many more.
Despite the fact that she has never done a nude sex scene, the
actress revealed that it wasn't very difficult for her to get in
character, but she also specifies that this is not something that
she will agree to do on a regular basis. She told Esquire that:
“It was hard but it was a small crew, and they were good at not
making their presence felt. They didn’t go, 'Quick! She’s nearly
naked! Get your camera out!'”
As far as whether the movie will be released in India, due to their
strict censorship policies, the actress states that although she's
not sure yet, she believes that people who wish to see it will find
a way to do so. She tells the magazine that:
“Even if it doesn’t, the people who want to see it will find a way
to get an uncensored copy.”
Frieda Pinto has not been shy to show off her love for London and
she even tells the magazine that she loves the city almost as much
as she loves her home town. She says:
“Even though it’s so dreadful in the winter, I still think it’s
beautiful,” she says. “So much culture and history. Like
Bombay!”
However, because she is one of the most popular international
Indian movie stars, Freida feels the pressure to be a good
ambassador for her beloved country. She reveals that:
“It’s almost a duty. People are very curious about India and I
always try to represent my country in a non-stereotypical
light.”
