Actress Emily Blunt best known for her role in the movie 'The Devil Wears Prada' graces the cover of Manhattan June 2012 issue. She opens up about growing up, her marriage and future plans, so check out snippets of her interview, next!
English bombshell, actress Emily Blunt, who's best known for her
role in the movie 'The Devil Wears Prada', graces the cover of
Manhattan, the magazine's June 2012 issue, where the 29 year old
opens up about growing up, her marriage as well as future family
plans.
The actress that stars in this month's 'Your Sister's Sister' movie
looks incredible in the spread shot by acclaimed photographer David
Roemer, as she dons a gorgeous Valentino chiffon dress among
others, right before sitting down for a chat with one of the
magazine's writers. The actress' oh-so-glamorous look makes an
instant impression, but apparently her day-to-day style is much
more relaxed.
Ms. Blunt, who grew up in Roehampton, a suburb in London with a
lawyer father and a former actress mother plus three siblings, says
that she loved her childhood especially the part of 'make-belief'.
The actress tells Manhattan that:
“I loved the make-believe aspect of life. I was that really
annoying friend you didn’t want to stay over because I’d be waking
you up at 5 in the morning to pretend that the room was on
fire.”
The actress recalls that her 'struggle' to make it big in the
industry wasn't all that much a 'struggle' and that things just
seemed to fall into place. She recalls a moment in which she had
that revelation about what she wanted to do, as she was playing a
role in 'The Royal Family' at Theatre Royal Haymarket in 2001 and
says that her co-star told her 'Listen, darling, you’re going to be
great. And if anyone gives you any trouble, you come straight to
me.'
She says that she has a story that most actors hate, as most of
them have to struggle to make it in the industry. She tells the
magazine that:
“I really fell into the business, which is a story actors hate,
because they’re like, ‘F%#k you! I’ve been struggling for
years!’”
The actress, who's found love with actor John Krasinski, whom
she married in 2010, says that her marriage is a subject that she
finds difficult to talk about, especially when it comes to
describing it and how it works. Although she keeps things private,
the actress does reveal that she's happy and that she's having a
blast with her hubby as she tells the magazine that:
“This is what I find difficult about talking about my marriage:
It’s hard to sum up something that’s so vital and means everything
to you in a sound bite. Do you know what I mean? All I can say is
that it’s an effing blast. It’s just great, and I’m so happy.”
However, when it comes to expanding her family, Emily says that
it's something that she and her hubby want but not quite yet. The
actress says:
“We want to have children; I just don’t know when yet. I’m just not
sure about the timing of all of that. We’re both from big families
so I think it’s something we want.”
