The well known fashion designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have been accused of tax evasion. Find out how this happened and what sum the two designers are accused of having evaded!
It seems that the two most popular fashion designers in the fashion
industry Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are having some trouble
with the law as they have been accused of tax evasion. The charges
have been confirmed Milan prosecutor Laura Pedio.
Dolce and Gabbana have yet to make a decision on what they will do
regarding these charges. They will have to think well and either go
to trial to prove their innocence or pay the fines and taxes which
have added up to the present. There has not been an official
declaration regarding what path he two designers will take but it
seems that so far Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce have denied
the accusations so things are a bit unclear.
It is well known that taxes need to paid on time and there are
taxes for everything. Not paying these taxes can lead to serious
problems as tax evasion is prosecuted and can lead to jail time.
Hopefully this will not happen to our favorite fashion designers
Dolce and Gabbana.
In 2009 the two fashion designers issued statements saying that
they are not guilty of tax evasion, tax evasion accusations which
were related to the sale of the well known brands
Dolce & Gabbana and D&G in 2004. The designer duo
stated then that “the accusation are based on a completely abstract
calculation” which allows the authorities to calculate the debt
towards the state with a hypothetical value.
Well this will probably have to be proven by a financial expert and
the sum which Dolce and Gabbana have to pay adds up to about one
billion dollars. Now that is a big sum to pay!
We are absolutely sure that everything will be solved and hopefully
the two designers will be cleared of any accusations.
