It seems that Demi Moore isn't feeling all that great after the breakup from her much younger husband Ashton Kutcher, as the 49 year old actress has been rushed to the hospital on Monday night, and is now seeking treatment for exhaustion. Demi Moore has made headlines post the confirmation of her split from Ashton Kutcher, with her shrinking physique, as the actress appeared to be dropping to an alarming weight.
According to TMZ, Ms. Moore was rushed to the hospital on Monday
night, after a 911 call from her house with regards to an unknown
illness. Paramedics who arrived at her mansion assessed Demi's
state of health for about 30 minutes before they decided to
transport her at the local hospital for treatment. A representative
of the actress issued a statement regarding the incident saying
“Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health. She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends.”
According to TMZ, the reason for which Demi was rushed to the hospital was substance abuse, but so far no official statement has been issued targeting the exact cause of her hospital admission.
Contacted by People, L.A. City Fire Department spokesman Matt Spence told the publication that:
“I can confirm that we received an emergency call at 10:49 p.m. for an unknown illness related to that address. We transported at least one patient to a local hospital. The patient was transported at 11:21 p.m.”
As she is currently receiving professional help at a treatment facility, Ms. Moore has decided to drop her upcoming role as Gloria Steinem in the movie 'Loveplace'.
