Christina Aguilera bares it all in W Magazine where she poses seductively and talks about her life. Find out more details about Christina's divorce, new relationship and music!
A pretty woman with a powerful voice has enchanted the entire
world for years now, but Christina Aguilera's life was definitely
not as easy and as pretty as her voice. Celebrities face a lot of media pressure
and Christina Aguilera decides to
bare it all in W Magazine's June 2011 issue.
Christina has been in the entertainment business since she was a
child, but says her life wasn't at all easy. Her childhood was
surrounded by violence and she found her escape route in music,
more explicitly in “The Sound of Music”. Aguilera tells W Magazine
that “The Sound of Music looked like a form of release. I would
open my bedroom window to sing out like Maria. In my own way, I’d
be in those hills.”
Her singing abilities have landed Christina numerous awards
paving the way to an international career, but things weren't all
that fabulous in her private life. Along the years, Christina has
known ups and downs, a divorce
and numerous rumors and scandals which even lead to her being
arrested.
The first sign of trouble in paradise hit in October 2010, when
Aguilera announced she and her husband of 5 years, with whom she
has a son, Max, music producer Jordan Bratman, were getting a
divorce. The reason behind this decision was she did not want her
son Max to live in a tension-filled house, just as she did, so when
things turned negative in her marriage she decided to call it
quits. Christina said:
“It got to a point where our life at home was reminding me of my
own childhood. I will not have my son grow up in a tension-filled
home. I knew there would be a negative reaction in the press to my
divorce, but I am not going to live my life because of something
someone might say.”
As far as her latest movie role in “Burlesque” where she starred
alongside Cher, Christina Aguilera says she is happy she has done
it although it was a major disappointment, as the movie wasn't a huge success as
predicted. She says:
“I was sad, but I’m still glad that I did the movie,”
“During production, I was going through a lot of self-discovery. As
a quote-unquote pop star, you have your entourage with you at all
times. When you enter and leave a place, backstage, even at home,
you always have your team. On the movie set, I didn’t have anyone
around me. And it felt good. When I first met my husband, I needed
that helping hand to take the reins and look after me. After the
movie, I grew out of being that little girl: I became more of an
adult.”
As far as her new
relationship to Matt Rutler, Christina says it was Matt's
support which attracted her. He supports her in everything and is
there for her at all times. He was there at the mishap from the
Super Bowl where Christina flubbed the lyrics to the national
anthem, when Christina nearly fell on stage of the Grammy's and he
was there when all the rumors about her alcohol problems surfaced.
These are rumors with no foundation to back them up.
Things seems to have taken a positive turn for Christina after she
accepted to be a judge at “The Voice” along with Adam Levine, Blake
Shelton and Cee Lo Green.
Christina Aguilera still has plenty of talent to share with the
rest of the world and her multioctave voice will most definitely
enchant us for years to come!
