Few on the celebrities who divorced and got back together can say the second time around was better. Melanie Griffith was just 18 when she married Don Johnson in a quick Las Vegas wedding. Their first marriage only lasted 7 months, but the second time around they were happily married for 7 years, and “Fifty Shades of Grey”’s Dakota Johnson was born 4 months after her parents tied the knot again.
Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler
There’s nothing like a near death experience to make you reconsider your priorities. Blink 182’s Travis Barker had divorced Shanna Moakler in 2006, but after he recovered from a 2009 plane crash that kept him in the hospital for 11 weeks through 16 surgeries. After the ordeal was behind him, he reconnected with his wife for a few months, but couldn’t make it work and the two called it quits for good.
NeNe Leakes and Gregg Leakes
Reality TV star NeNe Leakes is also one of the celebrities who divorced and got back together. After a 14 year marriage with real estate investor Gregg Leakes, the two ended up divorcing in 2011. However, they decided to give their relationship another chance and got married again in 2013, sharing their union with their fans on “I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding”.

Jean Claude Van Damme and Gladys Portugues
The Belgian martial artist also had better luck the second time around, when he reunited with his third wife. Gladys Portugues and Van Damme were first married from 1987 to 1992, then got remarried in 1999, but they’re currently divorcing again.
Eminem and Kim Scott
It was a big surprise that Eminem ended up as one of the celebrities who divorced and got back together, considering all the hateful lyrics he wrote about his wife. They first marriage lasted from 1999 to 2001, and their second one was even shorter. After getting married in January 2006, the two had already filed for divorce by April.
Sinbad and Meredith Fuller
The stand-up comedian and actor was married to Meredith Fuller for 7 years, between 1985 and 1992, before they called it quits. They remarried a decade later and are still happy together. “I wasn’t ready to be married. I became a great father, but I wasn’t a great husband. I had no tools to understand how to be a husband”, he later told Xfinity.tv.
