Beyoncé Named People's 2012 World's Most Beautiful Woman

Beyoncé has been named People's 2012 World's Most Beautiful Woman. In her exclusive interview with the magazine, the 30-year-old entertainer shares her beauty secrets and reveals how she lost the baby weight and when she feels the most beautiful.

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the most beautiful of them all? Once upon a time, Beyoncé Knowles was a gorgeous and super-talented young songstress, member of the successful R&B group Destiny's Child. However, since we all have to grow, after Destiny's Child disbandment, Beyoncé embarked on a solo career that brought her lots of awards and made her a real music icon. This time, the 30-year-old entertainer has been named People's 2012 World's Most Beautiful Woman.

Beyoncé told the magazine that receiving this award is overwhelming and it makes her feel so embarrassed. The singer also reveals that she feels the most beautiful when she feels loved and secure. "It's really about who you are. The human being that makes you beautiful," Beyoncé says.

"I feel more beautiful than I've ever felt because I've given birth. I have never felt so connected, never felt like I had such a purpose on this earth," the singer told the magazine.

Beyoncé, who is married to rapper Jay-Z, 42, gave birth to a daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, in January in New York City. "She's just the cutest thing," says the Grammy winner, who sings to her daughter and confesses to "love" changing diapers. But does Blue resemble her beautiful mom? "She looks like Blue. She's her own person," the singer says. "The best thing about having a daughter is having a true legacy," she adds. "The word 'love' means something completely different now."

The stunning songstress admits that her mother is her best example when it comes to beauty and kindness. "My mother is absolutely the most beautiful woman in the world and I've had an incredible example. I know that women are like fine wine and they get better with age and she's such a glamorous, sophisticated, classy, gentle, beautiful woman," Beyoncé says.

Magazine senior editor Alexis Chiu told TODAY's Matt Lauer and Ann Curry that Beyoncé is "flawless, she's gorgeous, she's at the top of her game career-wise, she's this music icon at 30 years old and on top of it she has this glow going on ... She's a new mom."

Among the magazine's "most beautiful" categories we have Sofia Vergara, Charlize Theron, Lily Collins, Christina Hendricks, Michelle Williams, Paula Patton, Miranda Lambert, Kate Middleton, Jennifer Aniston, Michelle Obama, Jennifer Hudson, Kristen Wiig, Jennifer Lawrence and Selena Gomez. "All beautiful women who are very of-the-moment," said Chiu.
