Ashley Greene looks
dreamy and sweet on the cover of Allure November 2011. The
beautiful 24-year-old-actress, who will star in the upcoming comedy
'LOL' and the supernaturals thriller 'The Apparition', sits down
for a chat with the magazine and dishes on her beauty faves, diet,
fitness, Joe Jonas, but also about Robert Pattinson and her
Speaking about fame, Ashley confesses that, "It's a double-edged sword. It's amazing to be known, and it's great that there is this audience that wants to know about me. But I'm like, 'I'm going to be known for coming out of the gym rather than [for] what film I have coming out.'"
On Robert Pattinson and the 'Twilight' cast Ashley says that, "Rob. Oh, Rob. He's very endearing, but you've seen his interviews. He's like, 'Ah, I don't know.... Oh, God'. All of us essentially were unknown. So everyone kind of went through this crazy whirlwind [together]. It was really nice to be able to confide in people who were going through the exact same thing."
The actress initially tried out for the role of Bella before being called for Alice, a character she instantly related to. "Everyone asks, 'Weren't you jealous?' No, I think that casting was so spot-on, especially between Rob and Kristen. Dude, I just got lucky on all fronts, because not only am I in Twilight, but the character's just so damn lovable," Ashley told the magazine.
Ashley also opens up and speaks about the rumors saying that she
and Demi Lovato fought over Joe Jonas. "I'm really happy that
she's doing well. She and I never had a problem with each other.
But, you know, it doesn't go away.... Jen Aniston still gets asked
about Angelina Jolie," the actress told
Allure. Greene also explains why she doesn't talk about Jonas. "I
just don't want it to overshadow anything else, and it always seems
to," she says.
Ashley admits that lately she tries to "avoid nightclubs and trendy restaurants and making out in public". However, since breaking up with Jonas in March, the actress has been linked to a long list of men, including Twilight costar Jackson Rathbone, Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill, and Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane. "Seth and I are friends, and he texts me: 'I didn't know that not only were we dating, but we have since been confirmed to not be dating'. I can assure you that we're not," Greene says.
In the cover story, Ashley reveals some of her beauty faves. "I definitely use concealer. I'm not a huge foundation girl, but Mark [Greene is a spokeswoman] has something called Get a Tint, and it's kind of a mix between foundation and lotion, with a little bit of bronze. Florida girl - gotta have a tan! I also use Mark Gloss Gorgeous Stay On Lip Stain. It's not supershiny, and it's not sticky, because that drives me insane," she told the magazine. "For my face, I use sunscreen every day. Mark has something called Light Bright Lighten & Depuff Eye Gel that I'm obsessed with," the actress added.
On her diet, Ashley admits that, "If I go back to Jacksonville on vacation to visit my family, the diet becomes a little more lax. The barbecue down there is so amazing... If I have something to train for, then the diet becomes a little more strict. I work out really hard so I can eat what I want."
