Apparently, before her sudden death, Amy Winehouse had big plans as it's been revealed by The Sun that the soulful singer was engaged to boyfriend Reg Traviss and were planning a wedding for next year. Find out more details next!
The tragic death of Amy Winehouse
is revealing some shocking news no one would have expected to hear.
According to The Sun, the soulful singer was secretly engaged to
her beau Reg Traviss. Amy Winehouse has had quite a troubled life,
in which alcohol and drugs reached dangerous peaks which finally
culminated with her tragic death.
Her unhealthy lifestyle was portrayed all over the tabloids,
especially around the time of her relationship and short term
marriage to Blake Fielder-Civil, whom most hold responsible for
introducing Amy to the world of drugs. But it was the new
relationship Amy entered that everyone thought would help drag her
back on track, her relationship to filmmaker Reg Traviss.
The Sun reported that Amy Winehouse was secretly engaged to Reg
Traviss, after he proposed to her with a diamond ring. The source
that revealed these shocking news to The Sun said that:
“Reg asked Amy and of course she said 'Yes'. She loved him. She
wanted nothing more than to be his wife and to start a family with
him. She wanted to get rid of her demons so badly.”
Rumors say the two became engaged a few weeks before Amy's death
and that they were planning a wedding for next year. Unfortunately,
a few weeks prior to Amy's death the couple was rumored to have
split, and this left Amy devastated and heartbroken. Reg, who was
present paying his respect at her funeral looked in shock and told
DailyMail last week that:
“The last three days have been hell. We have suffered a terrible
untimely loss and want peace now. I can't describe what I am going
through and I want to thank so much all of the people who have paid
their respects and who are mourning the loss of Amy, such a
beautiful, brilliant person and my dear love. I have lost my
darling who I loved very much.”
According to Amy's dad, Mitch Winehouse, Reg was appreciated for
his effort to help his daughter and even paid a tribute to him at
Amy's funeral where he said:
“Amy found love with Reg. He helped her with her problems and Amy
was looking forward to their future together. She was the happiest
she had been in years.”
Until the toxicology reports will be released, the opinions with
regards to what caused Amy's sudden death are parted. Her friends
say Amy died of an overdose and there is even a witness who claims
he has helped Amy purchase £1,200 worth of heroin and crack the
night before she died. Her family believes that the fact that Amy
quit drinking and taking drugs got her body into shock, and it just
couldn't handle it anymore. Unfortunately, the cause of death will
not bring Amy back, who has joined the 27 Club, the club of
musicians who die before their time, at the age of 27. Celebrities
of the 27 club are Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain, Jim
Morrison and Brian Jones.
