A Gwen Stefani OPI nail polish line featuring 7 shades is in the works for 2014. If the latest OPI Mariah Carey line has left you wanting for more, you'll be pleased to know that right after the holidays, beginning with January, the new collection will hit the stores. The new line is meant to celebrate “the role of music as a major influence in fashion” and the star was the perfect choice, according to OPI Executive VP and Artistic Director Suzi Weiss-Fischmann: “With her expertise as a singer, songwriter and designer, who better to collaborate with than Gwen Stefani. Known for her trademark red lips, bold eye makeup and nail art, Gwen uses beauty to accessorize her style.”
The description of the line indicates that the new line will be bold and diverse and will meet plenty of preferences: “OPI wanted to create a collection as dramatic, diverse and glamorous as its namesake. With crème and glitter hues, new satin matte texture, a mirrored chrome and Swarovski elements, Gwen Stefani by OPI presents the latest in pigments and finishes, while combining elements of haute couture and street fashion.”
Over & Over A-Gwen is a nail polish tone inspired by Gwen's signature red lips that will be available in a boxed set that will include Swarovski black crystals and silver, gold, pewter studs along with nail polish glow that will allow fashionistas to experiment with cool nail designs in the comfort of their own home. This boxed set will have a suggested retail price of $14.95.
The other shades from the new Gwen Stefani x OPI collection are: Love.Angel.Music.Baby. and 4 in the Morning which will have a semi-matte finish, Hey Baby and I Sing in Color, two shades with a glossy crème finish, In True Stefani Fashion, a glittery tone and Push and Shove, a bold chrome tone which has to be worn with a base coat - Lay Down that Base - for an intense mirror finish. The base coat is complimentary when purchasing Push and Shove. The suggested retail price for each nail lacquer bottle will be $9.
