alright im pissed someone help me....i need legal advice...

i adopted a cat from petsmart and they gave us all the info they had on him and didnt tell us about any type health problems he may have...well now he has ring worms and they knew it and i know they did because my mom was at the vet dropping him off for the treatment and they said they have had 4 cats come in from petsmart with the same thing......i need to know if i can sue them or something. because they sold me a sick cat....dont get me wrong i love my cat and cant wait to get him back even though he is going to be HAIRLESS FOR A WHILE i want to know if i can get some kind of money back for paying for the pet visit and the treatment all together i have spent $167.16 on my cat and i have only had him for two weeks maybe three and fyi petsmart didnt know and it turns out it is the shelter they got him from fault

yea never be scared with ring worm you can even get over the counter antifungual equate cream from walmart and dr. it yourself.

it does happen from time to time. but not often.

and never be scared to go back someplace and get their assistance in something that is there fault. but remember that if they don't want to work with you there is nothing you can do to fix that. as i said ring worm is pretty easy to catch and it's all heresay if they say you didn't get it there and you say you did.

but if they're good people they'll help you out

you need to take the bill up to petsmart and have something from the vet saying they've seen this before recently on other cats from petsmart

yes they can pay your vet bill. i work at petco and if there is ever a animal that goes home and the next day they are sick we take them back and take them to the vet ourselves and return them to their owners as soon as the medication has fixed the problem (we do small animals not cats or dogs)

but it's the same principal you can't sue cause there is no real evidence your cat didn't pick up ring worm anywhere (it's really easy to catch cause it's a fungus) they may need to clean their cages better between animals.

lol u are not alone!!! Last summer i bought a guine pig that when i tookk home i found out the next day he had pretty bad ring worm! But i would not let them take him bak! so i just went to petsmart and talked to them. they kept him in their care center and helped him bak to health, but it didnt cost me a dime..

Trust me your not the only one. There are many people who have bought animals at petstores and have had to bring them back because of illness. I have no clue if you could take any legal action unless in the paperwork it stated that the cat would be perfectly healthy. You probably couldn't prove that the cat got ringworm from the store either. Just remeber not to touch it, because it can spread to humans. It's funny that it was Petsmart, because 26,000 animals were just seized from the place Petsmart purchases their animals. I don't shop at petsmart, because I don't agree that they should sell animals. Alot of the animals that are in poor conditions are put in the back.....out of sight, out of mind. They get no veternarian treatment and I think that is just so unfair to the animals. That is why I think that people should always adopt and never buy.....but that is just my opinion. lol. I hope your kitty feels better though.

you should have asked EVERYTHING when you were buying that cat. acause now, things are over. you have a confirmation that you bought it (the bill). that is a live being, you can't get money back for that, it's not a piece of clothing.

Ok, I see your problem. You wouldn't want to sue them becuz they have an inc. and lots of people there who would help the win so that out. What you should do is go to the vet and see if he could be OK then o to the police and tell them that Petsmart sold you a sick cat and they knew it was sick so thats the way to help
