hair grows exactly the same about 1/4 of an inch (maybe less) on average every 3 months, may be faster or slower depending on genetics. But the speed may also be hindered by hair damage, and hair health. If you don't keep your hair healthy, then it won't grow as fast as it could possibly grow, that applies to everyone.

With curly hair, essential hair oils that the head creates naturally, don't travel as far up the hair shaft as it possible could when straight. Because the straight hair is able to get more of these natural oils it stays healthier more and so usually is able to grow a fair bit better (but not faster). If you straighten your hair daily , this may not even help with your growth because you're essentially damaging your hair with the heat from the straightener.

I'd suggest you learn to take care of your curly hair if you want it to grow faster. There is curly hair care forums and the likes if you google they'd should show you the way.

No, its different for everyone...the texture doesnt make a difference all though curly hair may look shorter than straight hair do to the fact that it is curly.
