Can you dye unbleached hair for streaks? More info~>click

Ok so I'm new at dying so bare with me :). I want to experiment for the first time and put streaks in my hair. Thinking of maybe red, blue or purple. My hair is naturally brown and I don't want to bleach it. If I bleach it and re-dye it to my natural color, don't I have to continually go back to dye it again when it fades? :O. Ok well is it possible to go to a profesional and get my hair dyed without bleach? Only want maybe semi-perm. or temporary. I LOVE this girl's hair: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_9Zf_P9g6cuo/SZUGa3y9fkI/AAAAAAAADKQ/b7kqlwdvEL0/s800/Colored+Highlights.jpg but idk if it would look good on me. What do you think? Also, should I get streaks, highlights, or lowlights. Will post a picture of me below. Thank you! :D

i will say i love my golden highlights they use a 10% bleach mixture on it

and if you get your hair dyed all one color again after lightening , brown rarely has to be touched up red fades more than any color. and if the brown fades a bit it should still blend in nicely and keep the appearance of a natural higlight shade nothing bold and it'll be very subtle and no one should notice really

temporary color will be darker on you if you don't lighten your hair and it may blend in more than you would like but ask your stylist and see what options they may have or what they would suggest
