well it all depends on what your really into.

whatever you do don't go gangsta. I hate gangster style it is so ugly and almost all the girls are sluts and the guys are total jerks. Try picking up a copy of seventeen magazine they usually have a section on different styles and key items on how to get the look.

Go for styles that suit you and also you are comfortable with it. Get a new haircut. Do some highlights. Buy some cool outfits. Be natural. And do overdo anything.

if ur on a very low budget...try on all the clothes you have and chose which ones flatter you, and which ones dont. get rid of the ones that dont flatter you. if money is not a problem, visit a number of stores and try on a variety of clothes...dont stick to your usual style, just try on anything, and then buy the things which you felt most comfortable in.

as for hair and makeup, you should match those with your clothing style.

look at friends and people at school, see what they wear(try not to stare to long ;)) and pick out what you like, and create your own. dont copy any exact style. its better to stay with what you enjoy and find comfy.
