I'm really pissed off right now! I just found out that a couple months ago people called offering me a modeling jod and thats been my lifetime dream. Guess what? MY PARENTS SAID NO WITHOUT ASKING ME!?!?! They are seriously FUCKED UP RIGHT!!!!!!!? And my mom said she will NEVER let me become a model and I think thats horrible parenting!!!!!

Any ideas on how to change their minds?

just let them know that its something you really want to do, something you know will make you happy. parents can be very stubborn especially when they dont want their children to do something. ask them why they dont want you to become a model.

first to approch this properly it is good to sit them down with the idea of modeling from different point of view

show them the wholesom pics of the girls in the walmart flyer and koles flyer

ask them y they think it's so bad, tell them you just want to understand, and you think you should have your chance to show them what you'd like to do.

and they're not fucked up. and that's not very nice language you can tell you're young and you may not realize your parents may be worried that you could end up as most models

eating disorders

drug habbits

self esteem issues

peer pressure

it can be a hard life to be a 'real'model and it's lots of hard work and money

i think you'll need a way to convince them you're not going to be one of those models

Your best bet is to talk to them calmly and maturely. I believe they are afraid that you will want to stop going to school. But tell them you just want to do some modeling but it will not interfere with school. So then you can at least do some modeling and get some experience..

First of all you have a very dirty mouth for a 15? year old girl! Second maybe they don't want you to be a model because they think you will become something your not. My mom tells me I should never drink before driving is that bad parenting? She says I should never hurt myself or anyone else, is that bad parenting? If she tells you you can's be a model you can't be a model! When you're 18 you can become a model but I don't think anyone likes a model with a motor mouth do you?
