I'm in a struggle and Idk what to do at all.

So much has gone up and I'm at the point where Idk what else to do. I've tried all that I know- I've been with my first ever bf and I think he likes me a lot more than like him. He's had problems in his relationships. and He knows he can count on me-because im ver trustworthy and so different to him. and thats why he likes me so much. But he doesn't quite fit into my standards since Im just such a goodygoody.and i expect a bit more-but just for him to be NORMAL.B.c he's not-He's always tangled into problems. and its bringing me down.Hes going to a group home till next yr if it's approved. Its a long story. but he does suffer from depression and it doesn't seem as he's doing anything himself to make anything better. thats whats bugging me. He doesn't even try. he just keeps dragging on and expecting worse. So i feel that im done telling him anything. Im so down right now b.c its effecting me-I have to deal with this.i feel that ive made a bad decision with him at times. i feel as if I didnt provide enough description- so sorry if yoou guys are lost on whats going on. But just everything, Im so overwhelmed about his issues. and im extremely sensitive.I feel so unanimated at this moment. Im just tired of feeling down. But i can't be strong for someone else when I'm not strong enough for myself either.

well...i just have to say that the best you can do is be there for me and try to help can try talking to him....but if like you said, you're done trying....then the best you can do is let him down gently but still be there for him as a friend. everyone comes with their problems...if you knew that he had those problems when you started going out with him, then you knew what to expect...but if it started after, then i still think you need to try and help him....but it's really up to you..

I think if you second guess anything - it's not truly the best thing for you. Feeling as though he is bringing you down - which a boyfriend should never do - just isn't right this guy has his own troubles to worry about and doesn't need to bring you into it. On his side he probably just needs someone to talk to and feel as though he is loved by someone; but friends can do that can't they? Think about it though you clearly want to dump him or you wouldn't have asked for other people's opinions. He isn't what you want, so I think you shouldn't have to deal with all this stress over him. Hope you find out what you want to do! xo

I guess try to understand him, try to love him, because he thinks you are the only good thing left in the world. I've been in a situation like this, where no matter what you do someone loses.

You have to think of your own happiness, but that's what he's doing-thinking of himself. He doesn't have the capacity to realize what you're thinking. Men never do- and depressed men are no exeption. Telling him first would be the best option, I think.

If you don't do anything about it, chances are that it'll just drag on. That sounds really melancholy, but it's true, unfortunately. Tell him waht you feel and if you think you should, give him your love or back off, either one.

It's your choice... Good luck!

I hope I helped and if I didn't I'm sorry for all these useless words on the page.

I think you should tell him how you feel , but dont say it in a mean way , help him understand you , and help him as much as you can .

Anyways guys have problems like us girls !.. and they just need time to solve it , and you should be there for him in the good and bad times , and I know he is bringing you down , i know how you feel , cause my friend does the same thing to me , but i will try to cheer him up ,no matter how hard that could be! and that would show how much you really LOVE him :)

I think that you are a very good girlfriend , i really think so , and it is nice to know that ! so sweety tell him your feelings , and if he understood you , then congrats.. but be there for him , stand with him , and dont let him break down , dont pressure him ... and do things for him to let him relax and just enjoy the beauty of life.

i'm going to tell you something i learned a while back

it's impossible to really love someone who doesn't love themselves and it's it is just as impossible for them to love anyone if they can't love themselves either..

love is a 2 way street you both have to put in the same effort but it shouldn't be hard to meet in the middle. if it's too much work then until he figures himself out it's always going to be too much work

It takes someone mature and who has a very good understanding of what your boyfriend is dealing with to get him through all of this. I know you're young and I know this is greatly affecting you, but all there is to do on your end, really, is to be there for him. You can't be too involved either since you're already burnt out as I can see. So I guess supporting him as a friend is what's best for both of you. After all, even if he thinks otherwise, he'll need the time and space to grow out of his depression and find himself. Until then, he's not ready for a relationship.

that is exactly how my bf is, i just try and cheer him up :) i really enjoy talking to him! but when he gets down... he gets DOWN. what i do is let him know that it hurts me when he is sad, and if he really likes you, he'll try a little harder to do better :) hope this helps

Just tell him that you are very stressed out and if he wants to be in a relationship with you he's going to have to buckle down and do something about his situation and not make it worse - because its not only affecting him its affecting you & bringing you down.
