This site always makes me feel better so...

My bunny passed away today. Were pretty sure he was very sick. He passed this morning. I feel happy that he died because he acted like he was in a lot of pain but I miss him so much. I feel like theres never enough time. He was such a special pet. Although I know it wasn't my fault I can't escape those thoughts like: If I had cleaned his cage more often would he still be alive? If I gave him more vegetables would he have gotten sick? I just really miss him and this site always makes me feel better so I thought I post this. Thank you for those of you who read this. Its not really a question I just want to remind everyone to appreciate the people and things in life you have because you might not have them forever. I love my bunny so much and I hope he's now in a much better place where he is happy.

Its not your fault, of course. Things like that would cross anybody's mind after something like that had happened. My dog died when I was 7. He was really old and my family found him almost 10 years before I was born. He always jumped over our fence when my mom and I went out for a walk, just to keep an eye on us and make sure we're all right. I never thought about him much because he was there since I was born and I didn't know a different way. And one day I came back from school and he wasn't there. So i made my dad drive me(with my backpack still on my back) all around the town and help me look for him. i didn't feel like I missed him THAT much then, but later, after a couple of years, everytime I find a picture of him and me when i was a baby, I feel lonely and guilty. My mom and dad just told me that: good dogs go away when they feel that they're going to pass away so they don't make their owner sad. But, let's face it, that couldn't have worked with a 7 year old. Well anyway, now I have a new dog, and I don't even remember the first one, but I still think about him occasionally. I'm sorry this is so long, I just wanted you to know I understand how you feel, but just think of the positive things about your bunny. Was there something he really liked, or anything actually, that made him so special to you! It'll get better! :)
