i would just like to offer some insight:) read if you've had scar tissue build up, keloids or simila

r skin conditions

Hello! I would just like to share my story. About 3 years after I got my first ear peircings and 1 year after I got my second, I developed keloids on the backs of my ears, smaller on the 2nd piercing and quite large ones on the 1st. When I finally told my mom about them after having them for nearly a year, we visited a dermatologist and we talked it over. Your main options are steroid injections and "plastic" surgery (i'll explain the quotes later) Steroid injections soften the scar tissue and can help flatten out the scar and when you get these they usually reccomend using a scar cream such as mederma. I got 3 sets of steroid injections and i have to say they didn't help. This is probably because, again, my keloids were large and steroids don't work very well on larger ones. Finally, after having these for almost 2 years I finally took under the surgery option. It seems extremely scary in the prospect of things but in the end it has very nice results. The surgery takes around 45 minutes although they told me it would take an hour. They started by laying me on one side (i reccomend wearing your hair in a ponytail) and covering my face with a napkin-ish thing the medical kind lol more so i couldn't see than that its messy because its not very messy at all, and they stuffed my ear with cotton so i couledn't hear out of that one and completely numbed my ear up. You can feel tugging and pulling and hot and cold but you will not feel any pain. You lay there, let them tug and pull for a while and flip over (theres a teeny bit of blood that you can see on the little pillow but they change the pillow for the other side and its barely any) and do the same. They cauterize the wound closed if its smaller and stitch it closed if its larger.. Mine were small enough that they cauterized them and you hear a whirring noise and smell burning but its not bad. They also injected more steroids in mine to keep the keloids from coming back. When the surgery is finished they put pressure ban

hey, it seemed u had many problems.... bt it 'd ve more fine if u ve used there a turmeric powder...its very gud idea to heal it thru home remedies.... those such keloids appears if the neddle was unsafe or wid any allergies.... if u r pallning for piercing agn , den dn b afriad...jus go ahead but after peircing, u must use turmeric powder. its nt confusing.... all u need to do is... jus take a pinch of termeric powder n simply mix it wid water, make a paste n use it.... u can try it thrice a day... it ll not even ll graudally ralease u frm pain... u may nt believe bt i do. i m saying it coz i had also ear piercing many times, atually i have seven n i had a nose pircing... i followed turmeric n water paste n it went no wrong.... hope it ll work...all da best. :)
