All the girls at my school have nice, soft, shiny hair. How can I get that look?

Most of the girls at my school have really nice, shiny, soft looking hair. I want to know how I can get that look? Does it require different hairsprays, or shampoo?

If It helps, I use RedKen All Soft Shampoo and Conditioner, Aussie Hi Hold + Shine Hairspary, a Blue Chi Nano flat iron, Matrix Biolage Heat Protectant Gel, and Matrix Biolage Smoothing Shine Milk.

I'm just wondering if it would help if I used products from the same line/series?

but if it does, I'm not sure which to choose. I'm definatly sticking with my Chi Flat Iron, so it'd be either Biolage or Redken.

But if there are other lines that you think would be good, please suggest them too!

Thanks so much!!!

(by the way, the girl on the right, I sorta want my hair to look like hers - shininess wise)

it helps if you wash your hair in cold water....(or as cold as you can stand it).....have cool showers too.....i try to but i like need to have a nice warm shower....i do wash my hair is cool water though (when i wash the conditioner out.....washing conditioner out in cool/cold water is essential because it locks in the conditioner's moisture)

do you think you're cooking your hair? like maybe you need a better heat protector?

also you can look in my lists to see what i use lol

also i just discovered a new thing i like it's called john freida clear glosser. i bought mine at ULTA the store they have it in their online store as well at ulta.com it's a clear glossing syrum for any color of hair. all it does is put a clear shine coat on your hair and it also keeps it more silky and straighter w/o the use of a flat iron. i do like the way my hair feels when i use it in the shower after i wash and condition. sometimes i even mix in a bit with my regular conditoner

well, by the list you're using I see no problem, just maybe thgat the heat protector is not good enough or you could drop the hairspray (it makes your hair not so soft anymore). or maybe it's just the way your hair is and there is nothing much you could do.

I use got 2b guardian angel flat iron balm with gloss finish. It makes my hair sooooooooooooo soft an shiny! You could try that it was only like $6 or so for an almost 7 oz. Bottle. Or you could try chi silk infusion but that's kinda expensive. So I would recommend the got 2b guardian angel.

her hair looks very healthy - she also looks like she has baby hair!

try a shine serum, or a hair mask... also try some special conditioning or strengthening products, the brandnames that you find at salons will carry various products that can REALLY help.. just take a look and you'll find tons of stuff :P

when you're in the shower, don't use super hot water... make the water as cool as you find comfortable.

also, brush your hair out a bit everyday (not when it's wet though) this will help release natural oils that can really help your hair appear shinier, smoother, and healthier.

when it comes to hair products, usually, you get what you pay for... keep that in mind. and use a heat protector!!

shine spray and rinsing your hair with cold water to seal the hair cuticle after you finish showering. maybe you could cut down the amount of products that you use in your hair to only the necessities???

Try Wen... I heard only good things about it. And don't shampoo your hair. I know it sounds weird but it strips your hair. just try conditioning.

I never really use heat though I do sometimes , if you are naturally a curly or wavy haired born girl wear your hair in one big brid it keeps my waves under control and use olive oil it works wonders

Why not concentrate on what shampoo you are using for your hair. Good protein content in your shampoo can be a great help to you. you can get nice long and fast hair growth.
