have you cleaned it?

when i get bit by dogs at work sometimes it'll swell later and i'll have to 'pop' the pus that's inside the boo boo.

and i use alcohol to clean the wound. it still looks superficial and i know a burn can take weeks to fully heal.

i would say if you haven't already use alcohol to clean it. then for the next few days you can use a salt water mix like you would do if you just had something pierced. it'll create a scab over it soon but it may be a soft scab.

this said you can try using honey? but i would still wash the wound a few times a day and re apply they honey instead of leaving it on all day long lol

Does it still hurt? Most burns can seem worse in the days following them as your body tries to heal it. It doesn't look severe at all so I wouldn't worry! First degree burns like that can take anywhere from 1-3 weeks to heal depending on the depth and severity of the burn. There's nothing much you can do but wait now, the body can heal itself.

If this happens again, apply aloe vera gel or a cool (not cold) cloth until it is soothed. If it still hurts, but the burn is no longer warm to the touch, apply an ice cube covered in a towel to cool and nub it. If you cool a burn too quickly it can damage the tissue and lead to scarring!
