If you use a straightener, it flattens it pretty well. Then if you want it curly, just after you straighten use a curling iron. Or, instead of a straightener, u can use a flat iron.

um. if you want it straight. use chi silk infusion or paul mmitchel super skinny serum with a straightener. You can also use both of those everyday to keep ur hair soft. also a great shampoo to use is Bed Head control freak. its frizz control. if you want to wear it curly put a little bit of mousse in it starting at the tips. itll make your hair look soft yet still curly.

hope i helped.

to reduce the 'poofiness' - i would suggest that you used a straightening iron[; i think your hair would look cute curly, too. [:

For the hair you have, you can get some things done at the salon(:

- You can always get a 'relaxer' or a straight perm.

- Or you can get it thinned out if its not already and straighten it.

For straightening, it does damage your hair. However, there are things you can apply to help prevent it.
