What type is my skin and how can I make my foundation look ok?

I really can't figure out what type my skin is! It's oily most of the time but it can get really dry and tight sometimes. I have acne and lots of blackheads.

I use some products that make the texture of my skin smoother but my main problem is when I use foundation for my make up.

Even if I use a good moisturizer, when I use foundation my skin starts to look all flaky and uneven. The texture kinda looks like that of a wall. I really can't avoid that and I don't know what the problem is!

alot of people have combination

do you have a moisturizer for your face an actual face lotion? regular lotion can break you out

and sometimes you don't want to use too much foundation just enough to blend your blemishes

it's good to wash your face in the shower because the warm water will open your pores before you wash if you wait and steam a few mins

using a face scrub (even just sugar or salt mixed in with your face wash) will help rid you of old dead skin

if you face feels dry after washing use a toner instead

if your face feels greasy during the day just rince with regular water and wipe it clean

you can check out my blog under 'skin' to see all my info

you should make sure to moisturize. that really helps. getting healthy skin takes kind of a lot of work, and you need a good routine. so i would suggest, moisturize, even when it's oily, and wash your face with cold water at night [no soap! soap usually dries out your face if it's not specialized] and try drinking lots of water. and also, if your hair is oily naturally, try keeping it out of your face, because it can promote breakouts.

as well as moisturising, you could try exfoliating to remove the dead skin cells that are lying on your face.

also, on this page, there are home remedies for oily skin, acne and dry skin[:

and this one tells you how to apply foundation;

Thanks everyone for the advice!

I use a cleanser every morning, it doesn't really make my skin dry so it's ok. I tried using a face scrub and it feels much better!

But still my foundation looks kinda bad, it doesn't blend completely, the color is ok but the texture looks like I've painted on my face, even though my skin is smooth and soft before applying the foundation.

Maybe I should try buying another?
