Not allowed to dye my hair?! UNFAIR!

So I'm not allowed to dye my hair, and I don't think its fair. I mean it's my hair and I should be able to do what I want with it. And its not like I want to dye it something outrageous like neon green or something [[although that would be like the shiz lolz]] I just want to either a) dye it black, b) get black or red highlights, c) dye the tips black or red, or d) get coontails. What do you think, do you think its unfair that I can't do what I want with my hair or do you think it is fair...I guess I just don't get my rentals side of the me out here. Gah, I'm not even allowed to do semi permanent dyes...or anything like that :[

I had the same issue with my mom, I had to wait till I turned 16... and she only let me get highlights, It was fun for a bit but now it's getting pretty expensive, always having to dye your hair cause it gets faded. I think your mom just doesn't want you to mess up your hair, cause it can get pretty damaged with all the chemicals, she's just looking out for your best interest.

Furrreal furreaal. It's not fair. Parents just want there kids to be perfect little angels and fit this stereotype. Which most kids don't wanna fit. Especially in teenage years. I think your totally right though. Sorry, and good luck!

I do not think its unfair. Just wait... I waited when I was 18 and moved out then I did what I wanted to my hair. I dyed my midnight blue! Hahah it was so bad ass... but then my parents could not say anything about it.

Do not worry... it is just hair and you can do whatever you want when your 18.

i think you're parents should have some say because they have to support you but they should let you make your own decisions they are there to help guide you and give you boundaries not to hinder your individuality

but hey you can always use jello powder to temp dye your hair red, you can wet chalk and run it through strans of your hair to make white streaks, and get clip in extensions maybe you can get away with some of that since it's not permanent

i personally think that your parents should let you make your own decisions, but have some kind of say in it, eg.. if you wanted to dye your hair illuminous pink and they said no, then fair enough, but if you wanted to dye you hair black, then i think they should say yes. :]

but, remember, you're living under their roof, so it's their rules, just remember at least they're are showing concern and they are caring for you! :]

i had the same problem. when i first wanted to get pink highlights my mom wouldnt let me get them, so i used extentions. but after awhile of asking she finally let me get the pink highlights. and for anyone that cant get regular highlights then they should get extentions because if you want highlights or coon tails you can buy them a hot topic or somewhere and if you put them in the right way then they look sooo real!!!!!!! and if you need help puting them in then you can go on youtube and search how to put in scene colored extentions. it helped me when i had to use them. if you have anymore questions let me know. hope that helped!!!!!!
