Right now i'm writing a newspaper article about depression and suicide, and it's a serious thing. You need to talk to someone about it. immedietly. If you're in school, talk to a counselor, or teacher. don't hesitate. Even if you're not having suicidal thoughts, you may in the future if you're not cured. remember that it's perfectly fine to get depressed, because everyone does for all different reasons. Just talk to someone you trust! :P

well does your school have a counciler?

and yes alot of younge girls do feel like that like somethings missing but you have to realize it will get better. sometimes you are actually missing something if it's a connection with another person or maybe even a pet to love. some kind of activity to let our your physical or artistic abilities.

but if you just keep trying and keep attempting to reach out there's a good chance you'll find it. but i would see if you could talk to a teacher or counciler at school to maybe try and help you figure it out ^_^

real depression does not just go away. i know ive been there and still fight it. but its not just a bad or sad mood its a hopelessness you just cant shake even when you should be happy about something. sometimes medicine can help some but you got to get to the root of the problem and its hard to do on your own because you are not thinking totallly logically.

I agree with barbipixi, the first place to start is at your high school's counseling center. i know they can be really crappy, and if you don't find what you are looking for, then I would go to your nearest library because they usually have resources for free counseling services in your area.

you need to find out what makes u depressed. i ve been depressed on and off for years. even got to a stage which i could not take it any longer and drove my car into a tree. which was a big mistake. the thing that makes me depressed is that i ve never had a gfriend and i am nearlly 23 and i dnt know what its like to be loved. the best way i deal with it is by talking to people and going down the gym. its proven that if u workout it will reduce ur stress and it does make u feel good about urself. when u workout it releases some hormone that makes u feel good.

Your family memebers may laugh but you know yourself the best. So if you are sensing something wrong.... then I would go. I have thought about going to my school's counselor before. So do not feel you are the only one. I did not end up going because I decided to really talk to my boyfriend instead and that really helped. I would say, try to see if you can talk to your school counselor, and tell her that you are very serious and worried. ( you want her to take you seriously.) If not find an older adult that you trust. Tell them what is going on and how you are feeling. If that does not work, pick someone is your family that you know that you can talk to. Then tell them. it is difficult to ask for help. Do not forget we are here also to listen.
