A good foundation for someone with mild acne?

I have mostly whiteheads/blackheads some red marks and occasionally I have pimples. What is a good foundation that covers well but isn't like a mask?My makeup in the picture is how much i usually wear does it look too heavy/cakey?

GOSH makeup is great. I use a foundation by them, a liquid one, and it's great. It comes in a black tube thing, and you just squeeze it out. It's amazing value for money too, because you barely need to use any if your after a simple, natural look! It's £8, but I'm guessing they sell it in the US too :)

mineral make up works best for acne-prone and sensitive skin. Maybelline's liquid mineral foundation is pretty awesome. reasonably priced too.

I love mineral make up I find that it works great on acne prone skin. I don't usually wear cover up though, just a touch of bronzer! Except when I go out, then I love to wear cover up. Sometimes a cheap cover-up sweats off really easily and can make your skin feel greasy just watch out for them. Not every cheap item is the best item.

Anything mineral is good. You can go from a reasonabley priced brand to a very high in exspensive brand like bare minerals ID. I love it from what I've tried and I'm planning on getting the starter kit for Christmas. It's 60.00.

I have the same type skin, and I just use a tinted moisturizer. Dermalogica's medium tinted moisturizer is AMAZING, and i just throw on a loose powder over it to soak up any oils. Plus, it's great for your skin!

Bare Minerals is a great product to have for sensitive, inflammed skin, b/c it isn't filled with chemical fillers. but i think it's little expensive.

i like nutragena blemish fighting liquid foundation

i dab on one on each cheek, one on my chin, one on each side of my mouth, one on my nose and one between my eyebrows. let them set for a few seconds then i start to blend them around my face with my finger so it's a lil thicker.

it has silic acid in it just like the acne face washes

I have a foundation that works wonders, seriously. You won't even need a concealer.
GOSH x-ceptional wear in no.11 porcelain.
Also try Maybelline Mineral. It's pretty good too.
A trick I've learned (from my mom lol) is put on A LOT of a good, shiny moisturizer before putting on foundation, this gets rid of most of the cakeyness. And if you want even put mild metallic eyeshadow (nude/white/light brown) on spotty/zitty areas. This reflects light from a large pimple. They all work, I've used them many many times. :)
