razor bumps down THERE. >.

everytime i shave down there i put a bunch of shaving cream to try and see if when i use more shaving cream i won't get razor bumps. but no matter what i get razor bumps! so freaking annoying. and they itch! my friend said to put deodorant down there and i did and it stopped the itching but only for a day and the razor bumps were still there. is there any thing i can do to prevent/get rid of these? without buying like wax or something? Lmaoo. thanks.

I do not shave...I wax everything. But I read in this Doctor's Magazine that to prevent the bumps clean your razors with rubbing alcohol really well. The bacteria on your razor is what causes the bumps on your legs or where ever when you shave. So by sanitizing your razor it will kill the bacteria and allow you to have a clean shave.

lol i learned early on it's best to use a new disposable razor (i get the cheap daisy one's from walmart) every time you shave

go in the SAME DIRECTION as the hair. from top to bottom.

also using something like baby oil works alot better than shaving cream but i sometimes use nothing but wait till iv'e been in the warm water a few mins

and no having a clean razor does not guarantee a clean shave. i have thick hair and if i try to go against the grain it hurts and i get the bumps. and new razors work SOOOO much better than a day old one.

I suggest just not shaving. Trim yourself up, keep a bikini line with a super-clean, ultra-sharp razor. . . Hair removal creams also work fantastically in that area. No razor to disinfect (or dispose of), and they're a lot less harsh on your skin.

Make sure that you use a good, scent-free moisturizer on the area after you shave (legs and armpits too! - something like vaseline moisturizing cream). It'll help your skin heal, since shaving is really hard on it.

I used to have the same problem, use conditioner instead of shaving cream, it may sound weird, but trust me, it works. you dont cut yourself, or leave razor bumps
