How do I convince my Dad to put my door up?

My Dad loves me, but we have lived in our house for 5 years or so and I still don't have a bedroom door!! How do I convince my Dad to hang it?

prove to him that you can be trusted and that your growing up. everyone has a right to privacy and that you need to be able to be alone without the whole world listening in and peeking their head in. tell him you love him but he needs to treat you like an adult.

the best way is for you to prove to your dad that you are mature enough to have a door in your room...keep your room super-tidy, get good grades so as to show them that you study and once in a while slip it to your dad that you want a door in your room. if this doesnt work...get a stereo and put it on full volume occasionally...if the noise annoys your dad he will soon get you a door to reduce it.

ah the old dad did this to me lol...just keep showing you are responsible and mature and you have nothing to hide..make sure he knows that as a young do need some privacy. Just be nice and calm when you talk to him and really push the privacy as in...its hard to get dressed blah blah..but you will keep it open any other time :)

lol i agree with all the ones below

but if he doesnt listen to you no matter what

tell him to spend a day & night in your bedroom & see how frustrating it is . u cant even dress up freely without worrying sumone might walk in or sumthing.

make him see why you want a door

but DONT say anything mean

he'll deffo wont do it then :]
