Texas Thoughts?

I am(obviously) from Texas and proud of it! I'm kinda just doing a personal project about what people think when they hear the word Texas, and the people and cultures surronding it.

So here's a few questions, feel free to answer.

Where are you from?

What object do you think when you think Texas?

What do you associate with Texas?

Have You been to Texas?

What do you think Texas is like?

How do you think the people, culture is like? (ex. Rednecks, cowboys, snobby, fashion consious, etc)

What would be the first thing youd ask a Texan about their homeland?

Where are you from? Maryland, just outside of Washington, DC

What object do you think when you think Texas? A Lasso rope or an oil well

What do you associate with Texas? The Alamo, cows, tumbleweed

Have You been to Texas? One time, driving through, and once at an airport

What do you think Texas is like? Wide open country, hot, dry,

How do you think the people, culture is like? (ex. Rednecks, cowboys, snobby, fashion conscious, etc) Well I guess I think of cowboys and cowgirls first even though that can't be true now. I think the people would be nice and friendly and I think there would be a strong Latino culture too. I wouldn't think about Texas being fashion-conscious, more informal, casual style like jeans and cowboy boots.

What would be the first thing youd ask a Texan about their homeland? What would I have to do to fit in if I ever moved to Texas? (P.S. my style is not really Texan LOL)

What would be the first thing youd ask a Texan about their homeland? About how hot it is...i always hear how in the summer it gets up to over 100 degrees and I can't imagine what that is like.

Well.. For starters I am from England. And when I think of Texas I manly think of things that seem generally American: Beer, foot ball, the american r3evolutions, and how your country seems to stay together through thick and thin (which I think is very cool.) I assoicate the aformentioned things with Texas. I have flown over Texas but I have never been to Texas personally. Texas seems to me like the kind of place that would be really hot and would have a lot of cut guys with abs. I think your culture differs on where you are in texas, so if you are in the more farm land part of texas you would be more red neck. And my first question to a texan would probably be:
"Do you all go around yelling 'don't mess with texas!' at the top of your lungs?"
