Basically anything color wise works. Just pair with neutral pants and matching tie and viola! I suggest doing only one print at a time though, if you have a printed tie choose a basic shirt. Basic ties could go with either basic or printed shirts. Just choose colors that make you comfortable. Red is attention grabbing, so when you wear red expect a lot of attention (usually good attention) . Pink is controversial, although I see no problem with it, so if you wear it to the office take note that some people aren't open to the idea of men wearing pink. To look pulled together in a hurry choose a color in the same family as that of your eyes or black. Black brings out the pupil making you look more alert, and colors that match yours eyes do pretty much the same (except they draw out the iris). :)

That depends on what kind of fashion statement you want to come across.
If you wanna look well-dressed yet subtle, I suggest some mild colors that matches your office environment. Try wearing a lighter shade of shirt over beige or light grey pants. Dark blue pants also works with cooler shades of shirt.

Or if you want a more refined look that stands out, I suggest a darker color range, but only if you can pull it off.;)

And here's a link on what not wear:

Making a good first impression is much more complicated than you think :p
