I want a new straightener. Any honest answers for a good straightener?

I want it before November. I have long wavy/curly hair. I don't want a very expensive one, but one that I can invest in.

I say get mine. Its a white one with black plates from hot tools. Its an inch thick and ceramic, so even though its thin the ceramic heats up fast (430 degrees) and stays hot. It glides really smoothly and actually leaves a shine in my hair! I got it at ulta for 60 bucks. But even though its kind of expensive it's well worth it because it has a year warranty and it works even better at curling hair than a curling iron. Heres a link to it I found.

I also bought mine from Ulta. I ended up with a 2 inch Chi turbo. I believe it was right under $200. It broke once after 2 and a half years and Ulta replaced it for free. And I have had this one going on 4 years now. Wow i can't believe i have had it for that long! but it is a pretty heavy duty straightner...

in the 6 years i've had to straighten my hair (before getting dreads) the ONLY straightener that has worked amazingly well has been the paul mitchell ion smooth 1.25. it's only $150, and it really is amazing. the hair doesn't feel damaged at all after using it, even years down the road (all paul mitchell hairstylists use them). for this month only too, you can get a hot pink one for breast cancer awareness! I Infiniti Nano Silver by Conair!! one of the things what so great about it, is that it steams your hair! which in return tames frizz! its awesome! ive never had fly aways or frizz with this straightener!

{this is a real pic of how good this straightener works!}
