just kind of look at it and inspect it..

ask your self questions like -

does my hair have a slight curl to it?: if it does then it's wavy.

it my hair really hard to brush and kind of knotty?: in this case then it could be thick/knotty, etc.. :]

well after its just been washed and when you brush it through look in your hairbrush and pull out a hair, look at it, is it thick or thin, hold it at one end, does it have a curl to it or does it just kinda wave a bit, then pull on it, does it snap, streach or stay like normal? if it snaps then its VERY damaged, if it streaches then its a little damaged but not very bad, and if it stays like normal your hairs like a babys, lol.

then look at the ammount of hair you have on your head, how much body does it have, does it have a natural bounce? this could indicate thick hair.

If it helps, i have naturally fine hair strands, but a lot of them, i have VERY thick hair that is naturally wavey/flickey.

i would go with the hair dresser's thoughts because she sees alot of hair

give us a pic

but i go by what your hair looks like when you dry it naturally after your shower. you can tell if it's curly or wavy mine is wavy/straight depending on if i brush it when i get out of the shower or not

take a shower and let it air dry,

dont touch it or put any products in it.

after its dry you'll know if you have curly hair (it will be really curly, tight curls)

wavy hair (just a slight curl, but not completely straight)

straight hair (like you've straighten it)

mix type hair (a part of you hair is straight the other is wavy etc..)

good luck finding your type of hair:thumbup:
