Hair Dying Help!

Hello ladies :)

I'm dying my hair dark toffee blonde before school, and after I dye my hair, I`m putting a couple blonde hight lights in...

So I was wondering, how long should I wait until I put the high lights in?

Maybe a couple days or so ?

I don't think I should do it RIGHT away, I have a bad feeling about that :S

Any suggestions?

I'm going for something like this ->

okay (great hair color btw) so you should wait about 2 days. so it doesnt serioiusly fuck up your hair and it doesnt mix so you;ll end up having same color highlights!! hope i helped -JULIe

i know they sell some hair colors now that come with both those steps in the box and you could do that

but if you're coloring on your own and you don't get one of those box deals with the 2 steps in it i would deff wait about a week to makesure the color is secure and the hair has a lil time to build the oils back up

let the initial color settle in first for about a week or so, before adding in highlights. that's how a friend did it, and by golly her highlights stood out beautifully! another tip: choose brands that contain natural ingredients. I'm also wary of the damage coloring can do to hair. i once ended up with a head full of frizz and static after dying, since i got naturally coarse hair to begin with.
