What to do with boring hair? Long, blonde, naturally straight...

I'm going to the salon on Thursday and I need ideas. I have long, straight, blonde hair, parted close to the middle, no bangs, and I don't do anything with it besides wash it--no heat styling, products, nothing. My hair is a little thin, but pretty normal.

I would like side bangs, but I'm not sure how I would wear it or if it would look ridiculous since my hair lays pretty close to my head.

I don't have much time at all in the morning to do it--usually I just brush it and leave the house, so it doesn't have much body.

Help! Tips, suggestions, ideas, and pictures for me to show my stylist, would be helpful.

BTW, the picture is old ish but my hair hasn't changed :P

I think that you should deffininately get some long soft layers this will add volume to your hair. I can see that you have medium texture and naturally straight hair so you could try playing around with and curling it once in a while. You could curl it by just washing it and when its damp spray with hairspray and put it in to a bun/buns the more buns you add the tighter the curls/waves will be and vice-versa. After that just go to bed and in the morning voila. Your hair is flat since the length and weight of it is pulling it down. :))
