Tampons ?

i just started using tampons correctly recently lol, ive had my period for 3 years so it can get really heavy sometimes. i cant fix the heavy flow tampons in? only the light and regular fit inside me... is this normal? i dont know what to do when i get a heavy flow. mer/: . also, i can only insert a tampon with a mirror, so how can i put a tampon in during school or other public placeS? help please. thanks xx

Well, the only thing I know to do about the heavy flow thing is to wear a thin panty liner and a regular tampon to be safe. With the mirror thing, all I know to say is practice, practice, practice girl! I used to have the same problem when I first started wearing them so I know how frustrating it is. Just try to put in without the mirror a couple times, but don't stress out. If you think about it too much it makes things harder. Good luck! (:

For starters, every girl has a period..when you go in public in a womens bathroom, don't stress people hearing you do whatever you're doing..we all go through it. It's nothing to be ashamed of at all c: Just go and do what you need to do, and just make sure you wash your hands. Second, I know exactly what you mean and heavy flow does seem to get annoying, Just like Hollebug said, try to use both. If it's annoying to use, I sometimes use the nighttime pads that are a bit bigger than the normal ones and I swap them out throughout the day. Other than that, you just have to get used to can be annoying at times but the best you can do is embrace being a women and do what you've gotta do :)

Yes yes it's normal you can't fit the heavy flow tampons in. Most likely your hymen is still in tact. I hardly use tampons unless I go swimming because I personally think pads are more comfortable. I use Tampax gentle glide because I feel like their the most comfortable for me. The regular usually is okay even when I'm on my heavy days. Wash your hands and stick at an angle (not straight). Also relax. Our down yonder isn't usually just straight it's curved a bit. Wear a panty liner if you feel worried about leakage.

Hope that helps.

The Playtex ones have always been the best for me. I used to be like you...I could only do it with a mirror. Try putting in a tampon in the morning and then stick to pads for the rest of the day. Then when you get confident try putting it in w/o a mirror. If it doesn't work, slide the mirror over and try again next time til you get the hang of it:)
