I am currently 19 and in college. I still get people asking me if I am a freshman in high school so I joined to help get some hair and makeup ideas that were cute and young but mature at the same time, so I at least look my age.

Could it be my weight?

Recently I have been experiencing quite a few weak dizzy spells, and I have blacked out a few times as well. I went to the doctor but he was no help, I was wondering if it could be related to my weight. I am 19 and I am 5'5 and I weigh anywhere from 110-115 lbs.

I eat quite a bit actually, I just don't gain weight :P its pretty annoying

your thin but I don't think your thin to the point of fainting. your not anerxoic or anything. I know what you mean about the whole weight thing. I would drink lots of water and eat some healthy food and try seeing another doctor? oh and try not to do any activities that are too physical.

ever think you might be diabetic? maybe you're just lacking some vitamins. think about what you eat everyday.

starches help with energy

leafy dark greens are great

lots of protein

You are probably anemic8-|. I had the same problem. It's not related to your weight it's related to your eating. you are not getting enough vitamins so your body feels week and he's letting you know that. Start eating healthy, fruits and vegetables and you'll feel better:thumbup:

thanks for all of your help. I didn't think it had anything to do with my weight but I wanted to be sure. I already tested for diabetes and for anemia and I am not either one of those. My diets relatively good but there is always room for improvement. I would try eating more vitamins, protein, starches and dark leafy greens as suggested. I usually do try to push it too hard because I hate not being as active so maybe if I lay back that should help too. Thanks again

I am 21 5'6" and weigh 115...around the same as you, but I do not have these problems. I am a very healthy girl. It could be any number of things. I would say continue to talk to your doctor...tell him/her that something isn't right & be persistent until your questions are answered. Good luck, hun. I hope things improve for you!

well, since you and "baze" are around the same weight, i think you need to get more exercise and eat healthy, drink more milk and don't eat food that has too much oil, and as much as possible, stay away from fried food, go veggie instead, eat yoghurt, and all healthy choices..........^_^:D:thumbup:

I was Hypoglycemic once and it made me dizzy sometimes and one time I actually passout in school. Not fun. So I had make sure I was having a good breakfast. Did your doctor do blood work on you? Next time your feeling something sweet.

i'm hypoglycemic and sometimes i go through periods that are like what ur describing. make sure you never skip breakfast and eat every 2-3 hours. i always have some glucose tablets in my purse for unexpected situations. another problem could be ur iron levels. maybe check that out:x

nooo dont go veggie, you probably need iron, which means eating red meat, and if you dont eat red meat, then take iron tablets..

i have the same problem as you, and the doctors dont do anything :thumbdown:
