Ideas for a Titanic memorial party

The 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic is coming up on April 14, and I want to throw a memorial party.

This may seem a little strange, but it's something my friends and I have been talking about for about a year.

It's a sentimental thing, and kind of a school project.

We're enormous Titanic nerds in case you haven't noticed ;)

We know we want to throw the party on April 14, but we aren't sure what activities to have.

We're planning on having a Titanic style dinner, an an ongoing thing where when the guests arrive we give them passports with the information of a real Titanic passenger, and they will have to look through books and files to figure out whether or not they survived.

Any ideas on other things we could do?

P.S. We will not be watching "Titanic" or doing anything that revolves around that movie. We feel that it's important not to do this, just to remember the people who were actually on the ship, and actually died.

Thank you in advance for your suggestions!

Well, what about clothes and styles and stuff. Are yo guys going to dress up in clothes of that era. They look great on the outside but must've been a pain to wear with all the corsets and stuff. But that would still add to the authenticity. Here's some stuff about styles of that period:

And I think it would be awesome to do the girls hair in ringlets. I think they look really gorgeous
