Use moisturizing products on your hair. Having enough moisture in your hair will make it softer.

When shopping for shampoo and conditioner, look for products that are formulated for dry hair types

BioSilk Silk Therapy Treatment is great - You just need a TINY bit though. Usually having an oily scalp actually means not getting enough moisture in it - explaining the frizzy and the dryness! Hair masks will do you good. Such as Joico; its great for putting moisture into the hair.

1

Wash your hair to remove the dirt, oils, and any grooming products that have accumulated since your last shampoo

2

Rinse your hair well with hot water. This will open the cuticle or outside layer of the hair and allow it to absorb the conditioner

3

Rub mayonnaise into your hair and scalp. Use a good quality mayonnaise containing eggs and vegetable oil. Go ahead and glop it on. You want your hair to absorb as much as possible.

4

Take your bath towel and wet it in hot water.

5

Wring out the water until the towel is not dripping, but still steamy.

6

Wrap the hot, steamy bath towel around your hair. The heat will help the conditioner to penetrate the hair shaft.

7

As the towel cools, reheat it in hot water and repeat steps 4-6 for at least 30 minutes.

8

Alternately, you can heat the wet towel in the microwave to heat it, but be careful not to burn yourself with the steam from the towel.

9

Shampoo the mayonnaise out of your hair.

10

Rinse your hair with cool water. This will close the cuticle and seal the conditioner into the hair shaft.

11

Dry your hair and style as desired. Your hair will be strong, soft and shiny.

wash with a creamy shampoo which suds up quickly and follow with a rich conditioner. My worst hair days are made of frizzies galore and dry, lifeless ends. Oh how I hate those! Hair masks done once a week can help tons too. I tried L'oreal Elseve deep conditioning mask and it brought back luster to my hair!
