top layers of hair don\'t blend in at all..suggestions?

STUPID decision on my part, I let my friend cut my hair about 2 months ago, she razored the heck out of it, cut the top layers WAY too short and worst of all, the top layers didn't blend in at allllll. They still don't blend in, they've grown a bit though. My question is, what would you suggest I tell the hairstylist to do to the top layers so it blends in beautifully? (once they get longer of course) I'm wearing extensions right now cuz I can't wear it down it looks ugly :(

truthfully the stylist may be able to thin out those layers and it'll help blend them there are special sizzors called thinning shears and they basily help add texture to the ends so it's not a blunt cut but a well blended cut
