protect &condition well.

twice a week, smother wet hair in conditioner &wrap in clingfilm, leave on for as long as possible.

use heat protection before you curl/straighten your hair.

get regular trims to stop any existing split ends getting larger :)!

always us a heat protectant. some kind of goo works best start with putting it on your ends and then running the rest after your get all your tips.

it's also best if you can not blow dry or straighten when you can. if you can let your hair air dry that is awesome my hair grows like crazy. as soon as i get out of the shower i comb it. and it usually dries pretty straight.

also pulling your hair back in a loose ponytail will help stimulate the follicles and combing it about twice a day to help break up the folicle clogging oils

i do get a shampoo for silky and shiny and i leave it on my hair while i shave. and i use a comb to makesure it gets everywhere after i put it on i comb my hair so it gets spread evenly

things that damage hair and cause split ends:

chemicals and coloring

not cutting off dead ones already

dryness that eventually snaps the ends off bc of lack of conditioner

heat does the most damage of all

basically anything you do to your hair could potentially damage it. Just be wise about how you treat your hair and do the least amount to it that you can unless it is:

using a completely ceramic flat iron helps reduce damage

air dry

heat protectant sprays and products help minimize damage too and....

its not a thing you can just do and in a few days or weeks you have gorgeous hair you have to start taking care of it now so that when it starts growing out again it will be healthier from the beginning. also you can use serum (garnier is some of teh best stuff so is paul mitchell and sebastain) that covers up your split ends pretty well and makes your hair look smoother and shinier
