he's into me or not?

hey there, need some help here, there's this guy, he's my coursemate, who keeps smiling at me whenever we meet, this actually happen after one embarrassing incident, he was there and was laughing like no body's bussiness, because of my clumsiness, so since that day, he always walks behind me, smiles at me,hold the door for me, and during one of our quiz that we had, i was so nervous, and suddenly i saw him just take a quick glance at me and smile..

my friend noticed that there's one time, his friend was looking at me and having some conversation with him, and he smiled...up till now i don't know wether to consider this as a positive signs or just his friendly gestures...helppp

From someone who is married and has been with the same man for 6 years now, maybe I can help in some way. He probably is interested from what you have said. The incident you mentioned, while embrassing for you, might have been cute to him. Alot of people hype up this idea that men want perfection, really they want someone who's relatable, who doesn't take themselves too seriously. The only real way you'll know for sure is to talk to him more. That might be scary, but honsetly he is just as nervous about embarassing himself. That is why he has only shown you attention in subtle ways that won't draw attention to himself. He isn't sure of your interest in him and that puts him in a vulnerable position. Smile at him, wave when you see him, chitchat about your classes/teachers, ask him how things are going. Be joking and lighthearted. Don't overthink it. Listen to how he reacts, does he actually respond? or just answer with one word and a nod? When you ask him about his classes, listen to what he likes and what he struggles with. That can tell you alot about him. Don't view this as just you trying to attract him, you need to see wheither hes worth your time. Its a two way street.
