How do I get scene hair?

I really like the emo/punk/scene/metal scene and I wish I had a good hairstyle to go with my music and fashion preferences, but I have long, thick, dry, curly hair and no time in the mornings to straighten it since I have such a long commute to school. How can I get the look without having to work too hard?

It's kind of a hard look to do everyday so you will have to spend time on it regardless.

Well since you said you have thick hair, my friend thinned mine out with a shaving razor. It makes it a lot easier to straighten and easier to work with. There's really nothing you can do if you can't take the time. You could get your hair premenalty straightened but that's not good for your hair. In order to have "scene" hair you have to straighten it and stuff.

You don't have to have straight hair to have scene hair. Since your hair is thick, get it thinned out. Also get it trimmed to prevent split ends. If you're thinking about dying your hair, don't. Just get high lights. It's a lot healthier fr you hair. Straight hair is more scene than curly, but curly is more unique. :) Hope this helped.
