I feel the same with you, even though i just posted a question just like what you are outraged about. For me, Thats how i describe how i want my hair cut. I do not wear what everyone else does or says what everyone else does. Im sorry about people stealing your pictures, that just means your pretty

I feel as though this question is directed at me (although I doubt you meant to). I've fit that "prep" label most of my life, but isn't it bad to label things in the first place? (especially since you're "scene")

Personally I'm changing because its who I've been inside, but haven't been able to express until recently. Mainly due to confidence issues and caring too much about what people would think.

I don't want to be scene, I just like certain styles in the community, which can be said for other types of styles as well. I want to be myself, and in doing so I'm going to get a hairstyle that I think suits me.

Scene kids are trend setters, and yet you are mad when other people copy you? Sounds a little contradictory...

As far as people acting phony or even being two faced... It pisses me off as well. But if you look around, most young people are still trying to figure out who they are. You shouldn't just shoot people down without giving them a chance.

Anyway... thanks for your tips on my question and I promise I'll never steal your picture =P Wouldn't work out that well for me anyway.

I used to have to make videos or pictures that had my name in it :I

And I'm not 'scene'

and people were calling me a fake.

But I got fed up with having to take pictures

and videos proving that it was me so

I stopped caring and

was like,' Yeah..whatever.'

I bet those fakes feel a teeny bit

guilty when someone calls the person in

their picture pretty.

But at least you know you're you.x]

Omg. I hate it! Im not "scene" persay. I just float in the middle i guess. I don't really belong anywhere. I love the edgy and ecentric pieces. Im a big vintages and rocker chick i guess. >< but I get what your saying.

i know what you mean but when you think about it, ONE and only ONE person started it and look around at how many people keep the trend going.

you copied someone else didnt you?

but you didnt get the EXACT hairstyle and color as them didnt you?

you didnt but the SAME clothes as them either right?

that makes you individual, people are just trying to fit in and i agree with you thats not the way to do it.

but everyone copyied from that ONE person, so im afraid to say that everyone copyied, a few more wouldnt hurt would it?

Hmmm. I won't say that I understood your feelings or whatever. But the thing is, people who are asking this type of questions doesn't mean that they want to be scene. Maximum of them just like the haircut. Just changing a tiny bit (like hairstyle) doesn't make anyone scene. And scene style is nothing to be born with. Have you been teasing and dressing up like that since childhood? /:)

People took it as fashion.

And about the picture part, if your picture is beautiful, there are some people who'll love to steal your photo and act like it's their. You don't need to be scene for that.

And why would people send you that kind of message. This sounds kinda weird /:)

But anyway, if you're pretty and fashionable, people will always try to copy you. You can't stop them.

I agree with you completely. I hate labels and I don't want to be labeled anything but myself but I started changing the way i dressed about 3 years ago. I started dressing 'different' You know, knee high socks and skirts, converse, big hair stuff like that. All of a sudden I started getting called 'emo, goth, scene' and i'm like wtf is that? I actually had to go online to figure out what they were calling me! I didn't even know!

Then the worst part is, my friends started to notice how different i was becoming, and all of a sudden they are all emo and shizz. They would go around saying so and it was so annoying! So yeah, all my friends I would have to say are posers, and it really makes me mad because they were so different before! I mean, I changed because I used to be insecure. I had a friend and I thought that if i didn't dress like her or like the same music as her, she wouldn't like me anymore and stop being my friend v.v that was when we moved. Then I realized that I had to be myself and so I just did what my heart desired, and it turned out to be somthing I wish never happened v.v simply because of all the fakes out there!

Seriously be yourself!

But I do understand when people ask hair questions about getting 'scene' hair because that's how we know what to look for, is by a label. a lot of the time they aren't even trying to look scene or anything, they just want choppy looking hair.

Last year, when school started a bunch of 'preps' decided to change their style to the 'emo' and 'scene' look. It irritated me, but then I saw that the 'fashion trend' this year is the emo, scene, zebra, checkered look. That slightly annoyed me as well. My friend who absolutely won't admit she is a 'prep', decides she wants to be emo. So she starts going to hot topic and stuff and starts copying like everything I do! Like I started saying effing instead of fucking and she says effing and she can't even say it correctly! Well that's off topic. xD

Anyways, so it really annoyed me because everyone at our school suddenly changed their hair and outfits to become 'emo' or 'scene'.

Wow that's long. Sorry about my rant. -.-;;
