no confidence and low self esteem ?:(

i have absoloutely no confidence at all, especially when it comes to boys. i don't know how to flirt or anything, my friend is like amazing at it :L i have some really close guy friends who i became good friends with because they were close to my girl friends, if they weren't close to my girl friends i wouldnt be able to talk to them. i try like talk about like sports and stuff they would like but i still get all shy, anyone got any advice ? i also have very low self asteem, i constantly say im ugly and fat which makes me upset and does my friends heads in. ive tried to change this by like doing something nice to my self like a diet or a new haircut something like that, ive also tried looking in the mirror and saying to myself that im not ugly and fat but it dosent work no matter how hard i try. you girls have any idea how i can control this ? :/ xx

well first give us a pic and we can try to suggest something new for the outside

and as for the inside part that's really hard i used to have low selfesteem and it's all about changing your outlook and that can be hard. but acting like you have more self esteem can actually cause you to have higher self esteem. it helped me in the beginning and now you can't put me down even if you tried : P

i'm sorry but i can't really help you; i'm exactly the same.

i'm pretty close to a lot of guys, but only as friends, and lots of my friends are great at flirting, etc.

i'm only just sixteen and i haven't had a boyfriend, i've been asked out a few times, but have been too shy to say yes or no.

so i'm sorry i can't help you, but you're not alone (:

try finding something your really good at, that should help to boost your self esteem.

hope this helps

I'm also the same waay like kirstie said :P

I only have one girl bestfriend, and the rest are all guyss. && Sometimes i cant even talk to them ,well i can but it's complicated; i have no confidence. It helps me when im getting ready and i look at the mirror and i say to myself i look good and i leave without another thought about how i look :D and then i feel good until someone screws my good mood up /: I lovee Barbipixi's answers

Well if you walk around and say"i look good." you feel a little self esteem. Sometimes changing your look helps and wearing flattering colors and makeup.Smile. You are beautiful.

You know what, all the guys at school can behave and sometimes seem like they're from another planet and really don't care. But as long you keep being yourself and work towards your dreams, you'll get there! No matter how long it takes there's someone out there for you. I know what it's like to have low self esteem and sometimes you just have to work towards getting somewhere that you want to be.

Something I tried that really helped me was escaping from reality, it sounds a bit strange but as long as you know what goes on around you this can really work. Just imagine the person you want to be, the life that they'll have and think of all the things you have in common with them. You should also avoid looking at magazines that are all around being thin, this site is also quite good at giving tips

I hope everything turns out well and if you need any more help just ask me!

And always remember: People aren't your tears, and the people that are, wont make you cry!.
