Long layers?

I have long one length hair that is thick and naturally straight. I'm considering long layers, but I'm worried that it won't look right with my hair being so flat. I was thinking that if I curled my hair that it might hold the curl better with some shorter lengths in it. Suggestions?

My hair is pretty long, about 4 inches from the bottom of my back and really thick because it's naturally curly but i have lotsssssss of layers all the way up :)

I straighten my hair and then backcomb all my layers to give volume and messyness.

All you need to do is hold your layers up and spray them with hairspray to give volume and if you like messy hair try backcombing it.

Layers suit all hair lengths unless you have thin hair.
