Help? I went to get my haircut and it wasn't enough change for me...

I had my hair cut today and was planning to get lots of long layers. I didn't have my glasses and so it was difficult for me to tell if there was much layering or not for what I had wanted. So, I ended up with slight layering at the bottom and the ends razored to add softness to it. I didn't get as many layers as I wanted, since the stylist noticed I was nervous about it. I would like to get more and am considering side bangs. I have a round face and I'm not sure what to do. I haven't had bangs at all for a very long time and think that the bangs might get in the way or wouldn't style properly. I've had times in the past where I've gotten bangs, but regretted it. I've never tried side bangs, though. I'd like pictures if you can of side bangs that might work for me.

side bangs go with almost everyone's face shape so i'd say go with it

and i used to give myself some layers i would take the hair around my crown in sections and cut a few inches off that then start taking sections below around your ear then cut it about a inch longer than the first layers and just keep doing that till you get to your last sections around the base of your head and just leave them longer since you already had them cut
