Okay well when you tease your hair, first comb that section of hair till its nice and smooth. Then hold it at about a 145 angle then tease, spray, tease again, till you get it the height you want. And its okay if it looks like crap, everyones does till they GENTLY comb the top of the tease till it looks about right. for extra height put volumizing mouse in your hair and blow dry it upside down on a warm setting first, then on a cool setting (if you tease your hair while its still warm, its harder to get out the tangles later). and make sure your using a good comb. They have actual teasing combs and those are great but if you cant find one of those than a regular close bristled styling comb works wonders too (thats what I use) if all else fails than maybe the style is just not working for you :[ but I'm sure it'll work, hope I helped :]

i know you can always add in some fake clip in hair to add volume if you can't get the teasing to work.

and make sure you are grabbing a big enough chunk of hair when you go to tease like some people need about a 2" length and width to make it fluffy enough when they have thinner hair and don't be afraid to comb it straight then add in a good bit of hairspray before you start teasing and spray the back not the front when you first start out
