I'm dying my hair blue(: Woo. I need help :/

Ok. So I just got this stuff from Hot Topic and it confuses me [ahah what doesn't confuse me] Cause it's like "For more intense result add heat, let process longer"

a)what do they mean my heat?

b)and my hair's kinda dark.. should i let it in a little longer?

c)and i only want the bottem part of my hair blue.. what do i do about the top half?

d)is it gonna burn? :\

1) you can put a blow dryer over it. heat makes color process faster, which is going to make the color more intense.

2) if your hair isn't blonde, it isn't going to take very well, meaning, you will barely be able to see it. if you hair is darker, i suggest going to a salon and getting it professionally done. blonding is not something to do at home unless you are a licensed professional.

3) you can leave the top half alone. just section out the bottom you want blue and dye that part only. you may need some help with that.

4) it shouldnt. if it does, take it off IMMEDIATELY. some people have allergies to hair dye.

I have dyed my hair blue before. But I used Manic Panic Midnight Blue. Loved it!

No it will not burn. When it says to add heat means that you can use a blow dryer to the areas you have placed dye on. This will help the dye to penetrate deeper into the hair to become a more richer color result. I usually left the dye in my hair for an hour. I would blow dry on and off. ( Do not burn your hair or scalp). Then I would rinse the dye out with cold water. This sealed my cuticles and the dye. If you use warm to hot water more dye will come off your hair, so use cold water. Then dry your hair with an old towel that you will not care if it stains.

guess what?! i just died my hair blue, only underneath, in august. (my hair was dark too, it looked awesome so i'm sure yours will too:)) )

so

1) as they have pointed out, to apply heat, just turn on the blow dryer.

2) my hair is super dark. you're gonna have to bleach it first. i had to do it twice before i could put the blue dye in.

3) i made sure that the top half of my hair was up on top of my head and that it wouldn't fall down during the proccess. i dyed it twice and it went fine.

4) it shouldn't burn unless you're allergic? mine didn't.

overall, here were my steps.

1) make sure the top half is up, and the line is even. i made sure parts were down in the front so it would show a little more, but that's just me. make sure it won't fall down.

2) bleach. for a while -_-

3) shower

4) bleach, again. for a while -_-

5) shower

6) the adventure begins! my mom and i made quite a mess out of our kitchen as blue dye got splattered here and there. :o but yeah, put the blue dye in and wait, in other words :p

7) shower (IMPORTANT!!!! MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN AS YOU GO BECAUSE I WAS HARDLY TOUCHING MY HAIR TO RINSE IT OUT AND I TURNED MY SHOWER PURPLE.) the second time, i took kaboom and a washcloth with me hahahaha.

8) enjoy :)

ps. my shower is still purple :(

pps. good luck! :D

ppps. i put a picture of my blue-ness. it's the only pic i could find on this computer, but it looks soo much better in person. oh, warning: when the blue fades, it gets ugly green, for me anyways :/ mine is black underneath now haha. i didn't enjoy the fading green-ness.

pppps. this it too long, jeez.
