Home remedies for acne?

ok so i've got really bad acne. i've tried practically everything. i dont like using proactive or anything cause it usually only makes it worse. i really like home remedies because they seem to work well on my skin, but only for shirt periods of time. Any that will have a lasting effect?

One thing that I can think of that will clear you up some is if you drink lots of water. I drink about 10 glasses a day, and I had pretty bad skin before. Now, I can't credit my clear skin just to water - even though it did help. I have dermetologist products I use. Maybe you could check out Patricia Wexler? Her products are amazing!

I have really sensitive skin that gets worse with medicated products. One thing that I like is the honey facial mask. If you google it, some sites give you recipes that add other things, but what I like to do is just take pure honey (no sugar added) and warm it up a little in a microwave, then smear it on my warm, freshly washed face. Then leave it for ten to twenty minutes, two times a week. It's a natural antibacterial agent, so it might do a little extra disinfecting along with your regular skin cleansing regimen. My skin likes it, anyway. Maybe yours will, too.

One important thing is to wash your face everyday. Wash it thoroughly with water and soap, or use a facial cleanser (any) in the morning. That way, your skin can get a fresh start. If you don't wash your face, your skin is going to get worse. Washing your face doesn't neccesarily help it go away, but it keeps your face from getting anymore breakouts. In fact, you should wash your face everyday (with acne or not). This will help future breakouts.

I used to have the same problem & no acne face washes/treatments worked. The only thing that I found to work for me was just a simple facewash to get rid of oil & makeup. Its not too harsh on your skin & really helps your acne. Tanning beds actually help ALOT too, if your not worried about the possible side effects.
