Diet/Weightloss tips

I want to lose 15 lbs. and tone up my arms, abs, hips, && thighs a bit in the next month. If you give diet tips keep in mind that I'm a vegetarian. exercises and whatnot would also be helpful.

food wise:

-sleep more, a better rested body doesnt feel as much need for food

-trick your metabolism, have a higher amount of calories for about 3 days....then have lower, it makes it quicker.

-eating spicy foods raises your metabolism.


-you have a ninetndo wii? seriously... when you jog on the spot for ages while watchng TV, it flies by :O

-you could try exercise videos

-join local workout sessions, having other people around makes it too humiliating to give up :D

-sit ups and plank (lifting your legs off the ground a small bit when laying down) are good for toning the abdominals.

-lunges are very good for inner thigh workouts

-jogging and swimming is good for all over weight loss.

If you want to lose weight and tone up make sure to do the 2 on seperate occassions, your body finds it difficult to change that muscle and convert your fat to energy at the same time, so do your cardiovascular things, like jogging, cycling swimming and even the rowing machines to different times than things like crunches.

Also crunches are better to tone your upper 4 or 2 abs (I forget) It will take a lot less time doing crunches than sit up but sit ups work the entire stomach area.

For toning with arms and legs and what have you if you are doing weights, do easy ones, ones that you can do a lot of that won't strain you at the start, doing a lot of an easier weight tones the muscles as apose to doing not a lot of a harder to do weight which will gain muscle more.

check out my two blogs on weight

and high rep low weight helps tone and burn

so light weights and lots of repition. dong leg lifts, crunches, running, walking, lifting those lil 2 or 3 lb weights

and 30mins a day 3 days a week is all you need to tone. it also gives your body time to heal

but you can run every day almost and stuff if you like
